Bio
Personal Bio
I was born and raised in Queens, New York.
Ever since I was a little girl, I
imagined myself being an actress…even though I was painfully shy! I was
always fascinated by what it would be like to be other people. When I was 12,
we had a lip-synching contest at our school and my friends and I lip-synched
and danced to the Backstreet Boys. The feeling I had on stage was incredible
and I never felt more alive. At a young age I knew that this is what I was
meant to do. As I got older, I took acting classes in and outside of high school
and
was active in the theatre department.

While I was at Queensborough Community
College, I had a chance to participate in the Kennedy Center American
College Theatre Festivals for three years. The festival consisted
of workshops, competing against other schools around the New York
state region and I was nominated twice for an Irene Ryan scholarship
award for my performances in Lysistrata as Old Man Choragos and
A Hatful of Rain as Celia Pope.
I also had a chance to participate in a Greek
theatre festival in Cyprus performing a scene from Antigone as
Antigone.
I then graduated from Queens College receiving my B.A. in theatre.
I had the opportunity to do a summer study abroad program with
Queens College in Galway, Ireland. We studied the history of
Ireland and
Irish plays, The Playboy of the Western World by J.M. Synge and
Translations by Brian Friel. I performed scenes from The Playboy
of the Western
World as Pegeen Mike at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Currently I am part of a theatre company called The Actor’s
Project NYC.
So, what is this girl all about?
My main focus is theatre, but television and
film work as well which I have been continuing to study in. The
types of genres I
do are comedy and drama.
I am mostly
a character actress. I can change my physical appearance from one extreme to
another. In comedies, I usually play the quirky, odd-ball, goofy,
down-to-earth type of characters. In dramas, I play strong-willed,
yet emotional, sensitive, vulnerable,
"saddest girl in the world" type of characters. After college,
I continue to stay in class, work with a private acting coach and
have taken acting classes
at
the
Barrow Group Theatre, Stella Adler and Actors Connection.
